LHR to Dover Transfer
We are going on a cruise departing from Dover. We would like to have a car/driver to take us from LHR to Dover.
Does any one have any names of companies used for these limo type services?
Many Thanks

Dover is over 100 miles from LHR so the car services charge around £180 - £225+. Here is one that charges £220 for a sedan.

How long do you have for the transfer?
There are direct buses -- National Express charges less than £20 per person -- but it takes 4.5-5 hours to the coach station in Dover and then you have to take a short taxi ride from there.

Thanks janisj:
We get into LHR around 6:30 am and actually have all day as the ship doesn't sail until 6:00pm.
We contacted your suggested limo type service and they appear to be really flexible if we want to stop at the castle and so on.
Since we can board the ship at 11:00, the service suggested a direct trip from LHR, leaving around 8:30 (we can use the AA arrival lounge) settle in the ship and take a local taxi to the castle.
many Thanks for your time and consideration.

That's great. Yes -- I'd go straight to the port and get on board/stash you bags. Then take a taxi up to the castle and after 3 or 4 hours take a cab back down to the ship.
If you land at 0630 you may not have too much time to kill in the AA lounge. That is a time when lots of transatlantic flights land so immigration queues can be quite long. So you can opt for the lounge just to freshen up and then meet your driver as soon as you can. Even if he takes a slightly scenic route to show you a bit of the countryside you'd still get to the ship by 11:00 or soon after. You will probably doze on the drive miss everything though and
