Left Luggage in London

Hello Everyone,
I am traveling to London in the beginning of December. I am traveling alone and will land at about 7:30 in the morning and take the train to Victoria Station. Of course my hotel will not be ready at that time. I am planning on leaving my luggage at the left luggage and exploring in the Westminster area to see the "sights" until my room is ready. Has anyone left their luggage at the station? Good idea or should I just leave them at my hotel instead?

There is a good chance your hotel room might be ready. If not, you should leave it at the hotel with the bellhop. It will be easier for you than having to go back and pick it up.

Left-luggage at Victoria and all London rail termini costs an arm and a leg per bag - about $6-7 or more per bag i believe - hotel should keep it until check-in.

Here's the link to the Victoria rail station baggage company information:

There are also (cheaper) left luggage facilities at Victoria Coach station, which isn't too far away:

But only if your hotel won't hold your luggage....

I've never known a hotel that won't look after luggage if you're checking in or out. If the hotel doesn't have a special room for baggage, they'll keep it behind the reception desk. The only possible problem will be with a small hotel where the reception desk isn't open all day. If you contact the hotel, it should be possible to make suitable arrangements.
