All you ever need is TCP.

Tickets, Credit cards, Passport.

Every thing else is not so important.
In fact that is always my final check before leaving. If I have forgotten anything else...I can always get it later.

Although looking at the case Mrs Muck usually packs....we should have everything.

;-)

Did you check with bank to make sure daily withdrawl limit is high enough?

Suitcase locks that are TSA approved?

Is your cell phone a world phone? If it is be sure it is unlocked. Don't forget the battery recharger!!! AND a plug adapter but DON'T bother with a voltage converter. Don't bother with a travel iron or travel hair dryer either unless you will be camping out, in which case you probably wouldn't use them anyway. You MIGHT want to check to see if the places you will be staying provide those appliances.

Don't waste suitcase space on cute little toilet paper rolls.

Be sure you have a raincoat and if it doubles as a pillow for the airplane that is a plus.

Did you weigh your luggage?

Pack an extra throw away camera just in case.

Don't plan on buying an English language paperback at the airport in Italy because it will cost as much as $20!!

Be prepared for Murphy's Law so that if things don't work out the way you hoped it won't ruin your trip.

HAVE A GREAT GREAT GREAT TIME!

Fairhope, have a beautiful trip. And like PLMN posted, when or if something goes a bit wrong don't worry. Sometimes these are things that give us a good chuckle later.

Will look forward to your trip report. Take good care.

Nasty comments from Degas??? He just left off the 10-gallon hat from his list.
