leaving for Ireland today....do I need a winter jacket?

The temperature never gets that cold in Iceland, but the wind does blow. You need a jacket that stops the wind! I was there in March and the wind was so cold I could hardly breath, but I'm from Florida. Bring a swimsuit for the pools. Hat, gloves, layers of clothes.

I think Wally needs to check his bifocals - aren'e we talking about <u>Ireland</u>? 
Doubt if you'll be seeing many thermal pools in Ireland. You probably won't need a heavy winter coat. But you will need something waterproof and roomy enough that you can wear layers under. Also gloves and a hat or scarf. But you can buy that sort of thing after you are in Ireland.
