Can anyone tell me about the village of Lazy-Biegonickie in Poland? I'm looking for the local Catholic Church and local cemeteries. Thank you.

Dick,,don't know if you've been to the Galician part of Poland, south-east...it's a very scenic area.

Nowo: There's nothing "lazy" about your ancestor's town (laugh), "Lazy" is pronounced "Wazy." It's very close to both
Now(v)y Sacz and the smaller Stary("old") Sacz. I remember driving through a gorgeous forested park in the region. Have a great visit.

I hve no scanned photos of the immediate area..I do have a detailed map which I will scan. My photos are from the Slovak side, Zakopane, Poland, The High Tatras etc...

This will show you a very detailed map of southeastern Poland, featuring a very colorful town you may want to look at while in the Now(v)y Szac region. All the homes are painted with a wide varety of designs..definitely a tourist site. Move the map to Now(v)y SzacS and to nearby Stary Szac...you'll find another "Lazy" town about two inches from SS...I'd assume that your Lazy town is in the immediate vicinity. Here also are pics frm across the border in Slovakia and High Tatras in wintertime...views across the border in that SE part of Poland are very similar..forests and foothills. Roads are very well maintained in the area. The whole region is not very far from Krakow.
