4 hours isn't a lot of time, but the Blue Lagoon is not far from the airport. https://www.bluelagoon.com/

The blue lagoon is pretty much the only thing- worth it if you can part with the money cheerfully. It like everything else in Iceland is pretty expensive.
You may not have the full 4 hours. If you’re entering schengen, that’s where you go through passport control. And blue lagoon is potentially complicated by how your flight lines up with the bus service.
Worth it, though, if you can pull it off. If not, the airport has a nice gift shop in which you can pretend you’re walking around Reykjavik, because I saw a lot of the same stuff there as I did in town.

Basically what has been said. The Blue Lagoon is your option. It is about 15 minutes away from the airport area so not too far away!
A Stopover in Iceland ? A Guide For a Tight Schedule
Here you have further explanation on activities for an stopover in Iceland. But with just 4 hours, I would not risk my flight and would pretty much stay around the airport area / Blue Lagoon.
