DH and I have had showering issues in Europe as well. I forget which hotel it was (this last trip) where we had overhead and hand held shower heads and couldn't figure out how to turn on the overhead one. Same kind of thing you discovered! Depends which way the knob is turned. Duh...
Where is the apartment? How's it working out for you? Is it a 2 bedroom?

took cab to Marais thought we could do some looking around before chocolate tour. On the cab ride over my stomach was not feeling in tip top shape. Then 62 said she was not feeling good either. we got some water and walked around and started to feel better but decided to cancel the chocolate tour. went to Piscaso Muse (that popr man was so tortured or it seemed so to me) then Muse Carnavalet. This museum
Had a lovely outdoor garden. The garden was being watered and we stood in the spray for about fifteen minutes cooling off (my second shower of the day). Off to the Muse Cognacq-Jay which I liked the best. again why do I have to buy a museum pass then stand in line to get a ticket - only the French we shopped in many stores then went for a Falafel sat inside what a messy sandwich but was fun and delicious. I guess our stomach issues had cleared up but we will find out later tonight.
after more shopping went to Galleries and to Printemps (did some damage) took cab back to apartment.
Our apartment is Cabernet at Paris Perfect with one bed split into two with two baths. And one toilet. Lovely windows looking at Eiffel Tower. we looked pretty funny. Taking the elevator up to our apartment the elevator is barely big enough for one and 62 and I squeezed in with the packages on our heads. We can be very creative when we have to
do not think we will go out just have some cheese and grapes for tonight but the night is young. Only 9:45 pm we are turning into two old bitties

In regard to the proposal made by Laugh or as I would like to refer to as 43 (hereafter known as 43). I would to counter that proposal with my own....
As 66's other, younger, daughter, I would like to be known as 28 (hereafter known as 28), I would like to be consider for the job of chaperone. Considering I have recently completed a degree in Architecture, no children, no husband, no job. I feel that I am a much qualified and available candidate for the position.

Aunie.have you been following along? what is the name of the perfume company?
One more thing tonight. I did something at Galleries that I have never done before. I think it was Lancôme that had a two great singers tonight at the store. A man and a woman. as we were crossing over to the men's department on the first floor there were several sales clerks Standing listening to the music. since they were singing in English I said that's my music and the clerk asked me to dance. even though my feet were so tired I could hardly lift them off the floor I tried and give my best Saturday Night Live impression. we walked a little and a guard wanted to bogie a littLe with me. So now I can cross that off my bucket list for dancing in Paris.

Hope your tummy issues didn't raise their ugly head(s) again. No fun feeling queezy in a foreign city. But you are no doubt prepared for such things.
My friend and I also had an apartment in Paris (in the 6e) that had a bed that could be two twins or one king (queen?). We also had two bathrooms but just one toilet. I thought it was a strange arrangement, but maybe not in Paris!

Well since you seem to be interviewing for the chaperone position... I thought as the daughter of "62" I should chime in!! Now known as "33" I feel that I have great qualifications for this position of chaperone! I also have two small toddlers so taking care of "66" and "62" would be close to my daily routine it sounds! I have a small feeling "28" has it in the bag, as she has no kids or husband! Have fun and shop away "62"!!!

Today was Michael Osman day. he came to our apartment to meet. Took bus to st. Germaine. Walked to Cluny Museum. He is knowledgable and made the visit very interesting. walked to Pantheon. Had not realized it was so big. again excellent information. Walked back down the hill. Stopped for lunch of buckwheat crepes with cider and of course a bottle of wine. when I am home absolutely refuse to eat runny eggs and when the dish was put in front of me there was the yolk in all its runny yellow ness. I thought that I could just eat around it. But the eggs here are so wonderful I ate the whole thing. Absolutely delicious.
Walked thru the Luxembourg gardens to the site where a tree was planted in memory at 9-11. very lovely. there was a wonderful outdoor performance going on which we could hear while walking. Took bus across river to St Chapelle but line was so long we decided to take another bus to Sacre Cour (actually took a few different buses) then walked thru the Center of Pigale. Saw all the sex shops and Moulin Rouge area is becoming quite gentrified. It was interesting the old and new side by side. Took another bus up the hill. Walked around for an hour and the went in both churches. We said goodby and Michael put us in a cab to our restaurant reservation
We ate at. L'Ami Jean. What an incredible meal with a great bottle of wine. It was so much fun to watch the chef plat every meal and when they were ready he would clap his hands rather loudly to let the waiters know he wanted meals picked up. Had lobster soup and was given a Huge pitcher of soup and I ate every last drop. Delicious beef and for dessert the famous rice pudding. It came out in a bowl and there was enough for four to six people with a caramel sauce and an assortment of nuts and chocolate I think. It is their house special and is even better than squirting the redi whip in my mouth at home
Rolled out of the restaurant and came back to the apartment. wonderful wonderful day. If you ever have a chance to hire Michael for a day do not hesitate. It was like walking around with an old friend

Weather is beautiful. Just wore thin top yesterday. Did not take my sweater but I run rather warm. Between the fat and the age I am a perfect storm. Did want to mention that there was a mass going on at Sacre Cour and the nuns were singing in the church was so beautiful. I sat for a while in the pew to enjoy.
Looks rather cool today. We are exhausted going to take it slow and easy today

This morning we were quite lazy. Went out in the pouring rain, a real downpour. And got absolutely soaked. Walked to grocery store for few items, baguette and Picard. Bought soups and ice cream cones at Picard. I love that store. When we got back we were soaked so dried our clothes and had soup for lunch. decided we needed to spend some time in apartment enjoying being here. after lunch took bus to Madeline and went to the Longchamp store. 62 found a fabulous top and of course I did a little damage. But nothing to what was coming.
we decided we would stop quickly at Chanel just in case they had last years bag. we sat down and waited for a clerk. we were fortunate to have Celine waiting on us. Oh so cute. these clerks are so good at what they do. she didn't have what I wanted but bought out about seven bags. One was really cute but 62 said, take that bag away I am caving quickly. I was caving for the original 555. The hostess. Bought us orange juice and champagne. Our knees are now slowing moving under our butts and we now entering the world of What the F... Are we doing.
Well we did it. we are now owners of Chanel bags and I will be taking a new friend home to live with the Louie's. Hope they are happy and welcome their new friend.
after deciding on the purchase I had to pee like a church mouse (When I get excited my bladder does the same). after all the paperwork Celine takes us downstairs to use their bathrooms and then has a surprise for us. She takes us to Coco's personal staircase.that goes up to her apartment and Celine takes our picture on the staircase and then beside her picture. we were like kids in a candy store. Holding each other's hands and giggling like school children. It was such a special experience for both of us.
Took a cab back to apartment to calm our nerves. went to CAFE Constant for dinner which is right across the street. we did not have wine or dessert since we are economizing now. where are our chaperones when we need them. and I thought 62 was going to keep me under control. I can hardly keep up with her.
The sad part of the day was that we did not get to Hermes. We might have had time but did not want to be rushed. Besides there might be more champagne. You can never tell
also shopped the junk shops on Bourdonnais tonight. tomorrow is Versailles so there is no way we can get in trouble!

What is it about Chanel? Sis and I were in Paris last week. I was looking to purchase a ring. I left Chanel with TWO rings and a necklace. Sis decided we should get "matching sister rings", what a great idea! The nice young clerk, delicious champagne and photo on the staircase made it such a fun experience. Then I woke up the next day and thought, "What the F...did I do?" lol

Obviously, the "Paris Shopping Curse" is in full effect! When I left these two in front of the security checkpoint at the airpot, I reminded 62 to keep a tight reign on 66 and her shopping addiction. Guess I wasn't clear in my request. With the said.. I'm so happy for the two of you and can't wait to meet Louie's new friends. As for "28" I have absolutely no idea what page your on!

OK, so this is 66's daughter's (Laugh) boyfriend, hereinafter known as 48. If 42 is chaperone, then I volunteer to chauffeur for the next trip.
Hardy or 66, I am beginning to understand why you LOVE Paris so much. You and 62 sound like you are having a blast but even I know, if there is trouble to be found, you and 62 will find it, Versailles or not!
As for "28", I'm confused because "43" isn't 43! Looks like you're 1 page ahead...
