It's not just "ok" it's a great place to stay. There are many excellent hotels and the neighborhood is quaint if a little touristy. stay off the beaten path and it'll be much quieter.

Latin Quarter is a great area but depending on where you stay can get a wee bit noisy at night. If noise in the late evenings doesn't bother you it's fine. If you're looking for a quiet hotel try to find one away from the cafes on a secluded side street or try the St. Germain area.

If you do stay in latin quarter, request a quiet room (not facing a busy street). we stayed there on a quiet street and our room faced in so it was very quiet (but a lousy view out the window).

Hi Jana. What do you mean by "OK"? Safe? Quiet? Both?
