Latin Quarter to Gare Montparnasse
Hello,
I will be spending a few days in Paris in the Latin Quarter this summer. I figure we'll take a taxi or shuttle from the airport (2 of us) to our hotel.
But, we are heading to the Dordogne after and need to get from our hotel to Gare Montparnasse (with a bunch of luggage).
Can you recommend the best way?
Thanks!

You could get you hotel to call a cab, you could find the nearest cab 'station' (don't hail cabs) or you could take Metro to 'Montparnasse'. Depending on where you are in the 5th, take Line 10 to Odeon (direction Boulogne), then switch to Line 4 to Montparnasse (Direction Pt Orleans)

Thanks for the taxi advice...I'm sure we'll go that route.
St. Cirq, We have two duffle bags (on wheels) plus our bikes (in bike bags). Once we get to Bordeaux we'll have a station wagon type car and then will have that for a month.
On the way back we'll be coming from Avignon...does anyone know the best way to get from that station back to the Latin Quarter (we're staying near Luxe Gardens).

Returning from Avignon, you'll arrive at Gare de Lyon. Without knowing the address of your hotel, it's hard to be specific on telling you how to get there. For example, it might be best to take Metro Line 14 (direction St-Lazare) to Chatelet and then Line 4 (direction Porte d'Orleans) to Odeon. Or it might be best to take either the RER A or D to Chatelet Les Halles and then the RER B to Luxembourg.
