Latin Quarter to Basilique St. Denis by Metro - how long?

Does anyone know how long it takes, on average, to get to St. Denis from the Quarter by Metro? Also, how long by metro from St. Denis to Gare du Nord?

The RATP site proposes a variety of ways, ranging from 30 to 34 minutes. However, it prefers the RER and tramway line 1.

Back to Gare du Nord would take less time, because the itineraries proposed for the outbound trip pass through there.

Hi K,

Enter your departure and arrival points at www.ratp.fr.

You can get directions by metro and/or bus.

krenl, I did this about 3 weeks ago on a sunday from the mabillon metro and it was about 25 to 30 minutes as I remember it. We changed lines once. Well worth it too...fantastic look into the history of France as well as a beautiful basilica. enjoy...lynda

Thanks everyone for your wonderful information. I just wanted to see if it was possible to spend a few hours at St. Denis before heading back to London.
