Good point, kerouac! I have to say that thought crossed my mind too. Kind of silly to search for a reasonable hotel and then blow the difference on a bottle of wine!

I'm having trouble with your link, Ira. But I will definitely type it in later today when I have a few more minutes. Thanks for posting it! And, by the way, I do like Irish coffee. Just can't quite handle it straight! Thanks too for telling me I can pack that corkscrew.

Got an e-mail from Aer Lingus today saying they moved our flight up 25 minutes. Maybe that'll make enough difference to get to a store before it closes!

Actually, in emergencies, cafés do sell bottles of wine to take away. Parisian cafés understand such emergencies very well.
