Last Supper tickets sold out - any other options?

All you planners are right! I don't decide to do something or go somewhere until relatively last minute. I decided this morning to go to Milan in late June/early July. I've never seen the Last Supper and would love to do so but on the official website there are no tickets available until August.

Has anyone here encountered this issue and still managed to see the masterpiece, for example, by booking a tour? Or am I out of luck?

Thanks.

Any recommendations for private tours that can get me in to see Il Cenacolo? If I am able to find a tour, I'd like to book a well-regarded one.

Check Select Italy’s website. We bought our tickets there twice. Also look at Viator for a variety of tours that include The Last Supper.

When we went in 2016 = It was the same thing, tickets are purchased as they become available by the tour guides.
We booked a tour https://www.tickitaly.com/tickets/la...er-tickets.php.
It was an good tour - got a little weird as we took public transportation to get to the Duomo. But it all worked out just fine.
we didn't find a tour that gave us just access to the Last Supper and I am really glad we were able to see it.

Hope this helps you,
Maureen

You can phone the official ticket office to book. They hold back tickets not placed on web sale, and usually have some available when it's sold out online.
+39 0292800360, Italian time Mon - Sat 8 am to 6.30 pm. They have English speaker available.

I keep thinking, "You can always go to McDonald's."

Thanks, Maureen. I did end up just booking a tour. In many visits to Italy I've only been through Milan once and don't know when I'll be there again, so decided what the heck.

Appreciate the other ideas too.

The tour is the most sure option.

FWIW, DH and I took a day trip to MIlan one time and went to the ticket window. We managed to snag something at the end of the day. But this was in March.
