I called today to get a reservation to see the Last Supper while in Milan, but I forgot to ask how much it is. She said we'll have an english-speaking guide, is that costing us more? This trip is turning out to be more expensive than I'd thought, so I'm trying to figure all the costs I can! So, does anyone know how much the tickets for the Last Supper will be???

You'll probably get much more reliable info if you just call them back instead of asking people on the Internet.

According to a Milan Web site, the ticket costs 6.50 Euros; the reservation, which is obligatory, costs 1.00 Euro. Another Web site says that guided visits are possible for individuals and for groups, but it gives no price for the guided visit. Also, audio guides can be rented for one or two persons, which may be cheaper than having a guide. My suggestion would be to call back and ask...

That is why it exists. But sometimes, actually more often than not, it is much more practical and expedient to talk to the real source (ie, the people you originally talked to about the reservations), instead of asking for information from people you don't know on the Internet, then waiting....and waiting.....and waiting until someone answers or provides the information you need. I'm convinced this is one of those times.

They have a system worked out now so your visit to the LS is much more controlled and sterile that it used to be. I would suggest downloading info before you go, or checking a good guide book and then just view the fresco on your own. There is a time limit in the room now too.

I stood next to an "English speaking" guide last time and could understand about every fifth word she said and her small group looked confused and concentrated more on her accent than looking at the LS.

Ira, I just read The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown. Mystery thriller, great book. In it, the author uses the same idea as yours....that a woman is indeed included in the painting, the Last Supper.

I think you might enjoy the book, if you haven't already read it!
