Last Minute B&B in Central London

I've been trying to lock down a London apartment for 1/21-1/28, but the security deposits are making me reconsider. I'd like to find a lovely B&B in Central London. Years ago, I stayed at a charming place (with my then three small children) right near the Albert & Victoria Museum & cannot remember the name!! I'm traveling solo, visiting my daughter in London.

Any recommendations? My budget is $175-250 per night. Many thanks

Use Londontown.com to look for a property. At this late date any specific place we might recommend will likely be booked up. Londontown will only display properties w/ availability.

If it wasn't a late date, what would you recommend?

B&B Belgravia - not 'quaint' but extremely well located, and very VERY clean.

janisj, the B&B Belgravia looks great, but they couldn't accommodate me on 1/25. Checked out londontown.com and reserved the Cranley Hotel at a great rate. THANK YOU very much for all your help!

Do you know anything about the Cranley?

I have an excellent flat to recommend: http://www.homeaway.co.uk/p406189

It's in a great area - Fitzrovia - and is only 130 pounds a night, 850 per week. Clean, functional (even washer/dryer) and safe. I've stayed there twice now.

I don't know the Cranley personally but it is a nice/convenient location. Just off the Old Brompton Rd and not far from the Gloucester Rd tube station. Lots of restaurants/shops in the area, and the V&A isn't far.
