last minute apartment Paris

OK so the apartment we booked a year ago suddenly has sewer problems and is uninhabitable. We leave in 2 days, but won't go if it means staying someplace we hate (or, need I add, sleeping in the street). Everything is booked up, naturally, so what we need is someone who knows someone with a nice 1 bedroom (plus sleeping for 2 guests for 2 nights) apartment that they are not using for the period of Sept. 14-24. No smoking, please.
Merci.

Help!!!! We are supposed to stay in this same apartment in 3 weeks. If anyone knows anything about the sewer problem I would greatly appreciate any information. I have contacted the rental agent, but have not heard back from her yet. Just in case I have to find something else can anyone suggest a last minute accomodation (hotel or apartment - 150 euro maximum/night) for a family of 4?

Also try http://www.gite.com/noticeboards
, which has a noticeboard for last minute availability.

You can check what is listed, or put up your own request and it will go out to everyone who has a property listed on the site.

Is there a reason you don't just change plans and book a hotel room? Plus a second room when the guests are there. 2 days seems a bit short to try and get another apartment rental arranged.
