Last Minute

Not sure if my last message made it. How hard is it to make last minute reservations for a hotel in Italy, in October.

If the goal is to find SOME place to stay - - not caring that the hotels with the better features, in the better locations, at the better prices - - went to those who made reservations 2-200 days in advance... then yes, I agree, you can find some kind of hotel room, somewhere in Italy in under an hour or two.

Why are you asking? ... nine months in advance?

Whatever your reasons, as a valuable aside on how to use this forum, you can locate and verify any post you have previously made here, by clicking on your own name (upper left hand corner, under Fodors.com -- right where it says "Welcome | Profile | Log out&quot - - once you have signed in.

You'll also find, in the same corner - - in very, very tiny red print "RULES" and "HELP" - - both worth reading, even though Fodors fails to point them out to you. Note in particular, that they recommend that you mention the destination, if applicable, that your question involves... in the message header of your posting.

Best wishes,

Rex
