Hello-

I've been planning our trip to Paris for too long. I have lost my notes regarding a store that someone had mentioned on Fodors that you could spend the day in there was so much to look at with a "hardware" store in the basement for the DHs to keep occupied.

Does anyone recall this store?

BHV - Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville, situated guess where? Not sure it merits a whole day, but certainly an interesting department store for housewares and hardwares, both for buying or for "just fancy that" looking.

Also where I bought inexpensive clothes when my luggage did not show up.
The basement has great garden stuff, door knobs, signs.
I read they have opened a dog boutique.

BHV not only has a good basement hardware and houseware store, they have a great restaurant/cafe, reasonable. I think it is on the 5th floor.
