laptop to Barcelona
my daughter is bringing her laptop on our trip to Barcelona. What provisions to we have to make regarding electrical current and plug? I am bringing an Euro plug for my Kindle. I also have an old converter and plug. Would this work for her laptop? How do we know if it is dual voltage? Thanks to the advice I have received on this forum, I have downloaded all my information re the trip onto my Kindle.

99.9% of laptops are universal voltage. It should be stamped on the charger, something like 100-240V. Two round-pin adaptor plug is all you need.
For internet access, make sure your hotel has free wifi - most do but some don't or charge. You can also get wifi at McDonalds and Starbucks - only reason for going!

As already noted, all you'll need is a plug adaptor. You can pick up a Euro Plug Adaptor at most travel/luggage stores. You might also want to bring an ethernet cable. The cable will provide secure access to the internet if you do not want to use the WiFi connection.

Much of the internet in Barcelona is adsl, so if you want to bring a wire as backup, it should be dsl. I always carry both a CAT and dsl wire just in case.
Barcelona also has a municipal wireless system with hotspots throughout the city. Read about it at:
