irlandes, we've found that the B&B you are staying in will call ahead for you if you tell them where you will be spending your next night. They all know each other, and we've never been disappointed.

Once you get your B&B book and browse through it, you'll be fine.

There are lots of great recommendations from people on this board for Dingle B&B's if you do a search ib Dingle.

Also, do a Google search for Ireland B&B's and that should give you a good idea with the explanations, pictures, and descriptions of the places. Lots of great places with wonderful views.

We just booked our air at $615 Newark-Boston-Shannon -- the agent said if the price went down, they would refund the difference. I'm not thrilled with the price, but we have two $300 vouchers to help ease some of the pain.

Post a short trip report when you get back -- I'd be interested in hearing how you made out and any raves and rants you might have. Just don't complain about the beer.

In Dingle, the place that sticks out the most in our minds is a restaurant called The Half Door. We had lunch in there one day, and they had the best mussels we've tasted in all of Ireland -- and we went a looking!!! Enjoy. You will have a great trip.

You've got it, Budman. I've recently started a journal for my travels, so I'll be telling all.

I rented a car from Dan Dooley in Ireland..picked it up and returned at Shannon airport..it was the best deal at the time..automatic, A/C etc....

I spent 3 plus weeks in Ireland..did the whole thing..thoroughly enjoyed it. I made all my reservations in advance. The Manor House Blue Book places that I gave you are nice places..I stayed in some of those. I also always use Michelin Red Books for places to stay.
There are some lovely places to stay in Ireland..all price ranges to suit all pocketbooks.
