Would anyone know if 10 ights in Lake Garda is to long we plan to go to Rome first for 3 nights.

What time of year and what do you plan to do there?

We are going in August, and would like to spend one day relaxing and the other day sightseeing.

Your original post sounds like Lake Garda 10 nights and Rome 3 nights. Or do you mean the opposite?

Yes thats right we thought we would either do 3/4 night in Rome then 9 nights Lake Garda and maybe last night in Verona as this is where we fly from.

I have narrowed it down to Sirmione or Gardone Riveria any ideas which is nicer we have also seen a Hotel Marconi in Sirmione has anyone stayed here?

I have stayed at Marconi several times. Wonderful hotel. I have not stayed in Gardone Riveria because I like Sirmione so much. If you have 9 nights I would split time out between Lake Como or Maggiore and Garda but that is me.

If you are a serious windsurfer or a serious sailor. then this would make sense.

Plus, if you have a car, then you could daytrip to various places from Sirmione.
