Lake Como In October
I am traveling to Lake Como In early October, was wondering if anyone knows how the weather is that time of year. Also if it is easy to get around on the ferries.
Thanks

Yes it is easy to get around if you can avoid late afternoon Sundays
We were there the first week in October last year (2011). The weather was perfect. The lake was a little disappointing as it was kind of hazy most of the time. I assume the water was warm from the earlier summer months and temps were cooler. But it was still gorgeous, particularly if you like hiking. The gardens were still lush.

The ferries are very easy to use and they're wonderful to take to all the small mid-lake towns. Weather can be beautiful or hazy/rainy. I had alternate days of good and bad weather but it never rained hard.

I believe this, northern Italy, can be rather wet at that time of year - not always but not the best time IME of being there at that time - one year in northern Italy at that time it rained for about two weeks straight on us - not the optimal time IMO.

Here are images of our trip that same week in 2009. We had one day of overcast and lite rain but the rest was perfect:
