Gore Vidal's former home in Ravello, La Rondinaia, has supposedly been purchased by a local hotelier to be transformed into a luxury hotel. I heard this a few years ago, then I heard he had sold it again. The property holds such a fascination for me for some reason. Does anyone know the current state of this property?

All I know is that it was sold once again. I doubt anything will happen very soon with it. Keep us posted if you find out anything.

Thanks, Steve. I did inquire. They probably think I want to buy the place! I couldn't affort to even stay there if it was a hotel! But I'd love to dip in for a look if it does become a hotel.
