La Rochelle or Montpelier?

Hi everybody! I'm studying abroad in France this coming fall and I've narrowed it down to Montpelier and La Rochelle. Both places look equally amazing so I'm having a hard time deciding. Any advice anybody can give me about anything concerning these 2 places would be great! Thanks so much!!

I love them both, but Montpellier has a lot more to offer for a student.

I prefer La Rochelle. If you go there be sure to cross the beautiful bridge to the Ile De Re.

As a student I'd choose Montpellier. Wonderful town with many other locations in the south of France to visit when you have time off.

Fourth vote - for a student - Montpellier.

Love La Rochelle- a very "happening" and young-at-heart city with great history, but I have to side for Montpellier for it's great university life, warmer climate, and more things to see/do in surrounding cities as well as its proximity to other countries to experience.

Thanks so much for your advice!! I'm applying to both place, so I'll find out where I'm going in a couple months! I'm sure wherever I go, I'll love it!
