La Fornacina in Tuscany
We are about to send our deposit for a weekly rental of La Fornacina (through tunscanhouse.com) in Tuscany for our honeymoon this fall. I've read great reviews on slowtrav.com about this rental and the agency. Before I make the commitment, I welcome hearing from anyone who has stayed at La Fornacina or even used tuscanhouse.net. Thank you. (Sorry about the second posting...it didn't come up in the "Italy" section the first time...trying again.)<BR>

I attended a SlowTrav picnic at Fornacina in the summer of 2001. The board moderators were renting it for a month and had a get-together there for those of us traveling in Italy at the time. The house is totally secluded and adorable, with gorgeous views. The kitchen is awesome. There's a grape arbor outside where you can read a book and have a glass of wine. You will love the property. The owners of Tuscan House, Zak and Gary, hosted the picnic, but in no way hustled for future business. Zak recommended a restaurant in Pienza, Latte di Luna, which was outstanding. When we told the owners that Zak had sent us, they treated us like royalty. No, I have no connection to Tuscan House at all! You are lucky to find availability--snap it up.
