I took a wheelchair-bound relative there last year. Only a small area is accessible to a wheelchair user, with ramps etc. In the Nazrite Palaces, only the ground floor is accessible, and there are lots of steps to get to the Generalife and steep steps up to the Alcazaba and within. You can't bring a scooter. It was the least disabled-friendly sight in Andalucia, but you can't help it because of the architecture and layout. If you have an escort, I suppose you can explore the upper floors of the Nazirite Palaces, but remember it's a big place and a lot of walking is involved.

Hi Phyllis,
i agree that the Alhambra may be very difficult for you - the buildings and the gadens, especially the generalife, are on many levels.
However, we went to Seville a month ago, and were very pleasantly surprised by the Alcazar. there are far fewer people, and it is mostly on one level and that is pretty flat. it is also very beautiful. the city is pretty flat too. just a thought that it might suit you better!
