Kudos for AutoEurope

When we returned from France, we found an additional charge of almost $200 from Hertz. We called AutoEurope and within three weeks they rectified the problem. What a pleasure to work with a group that actually solves a problem!

We had the almost identical situation last month in France as well--same result--the folks at AutoEurope checked the problem, identified the overcharge and it was fixed by our next credit card bill. We go to France every year and have been using them for about the last 5 or 6. They are very reliable and easy to deal with.

They did the same for me with a Europcar overcharge in Spain. Several hundred dollars overcharge. And the people you speak with are always knowledgeable and pleasant. Bravo!

This is so good to hear! I just received a credit car bill that is nearly $200 more than I anticipated for 10 days of car rental in France, Europcar through AutoEurope. The same thing happened to one of the other folks in my group. We are hoping to resolve it without a visit to the local Auto Europe office.
Also, has anyone experienced different rules for different countries about dropping off at a different location than the pick up? I was assured that for France, there would be no extra charge, but Europcar charged me an extra $100. With a train to catch, I did not have time to debate the issue.
Hopefully, Auto Europe will rectify all.

Four of us women rented a car in Italy. We had a little run-in with a wall in Spello. I called the toll-free number, and they told me not to worry about it. No charges ever appeared on my bill. I LOVE Auto Europe!

AutoEurope has always resolved any problem I've had - and I've rented from them a gazillion times in the past 10 years - with no problem, whether it was a run-in with a cathedral wall, a driver who whizzed by and tore off my side mirror, a person who apparently jumped up and down on the hood of my car a few times while I was shopping at the Intermarché in Le Bugue, or whatever. No problems, no charges - they took care of it.
Elisabet: AutoEurope doew NOT charge a fee for dropping off the car in a different location in the same country - if you got charged something for that you should call them and get it resolved. My guess is they will refund the charges.
