My mom and I are planning a trip to Paris, Provence and Riviera in May - our firest time. We are interested in a tour group, however don't know which ones are the best. We want great itineraries, good food and nice hotels in central locations (especially in paris) and ones that are not constantly rushing you all over the place. I'd rather visit fewer locations to have ample time to enjoy each city. Any suggestions? Thanks!

i have not used this group but know several people who have and they all speak highly of it- name of group is taulk tours. luck

ABC tours out of Bloomfield New Jersey is good.

Maupintours - much more expensive than most, but they have a lot of leisure time, stay in the very best places where tour groups don't usually stay (and extremely well located) and IMHO a cut above - of course you're paying for that. I have not done their trip to France, but clearly show in their material where you would be staying (five star).

We used French Experience pkg to Paris last March and very happy - good value that included airport shuttle, metro & museum pass, dinner 1 nite - stayed at Hotel Tuleries and found them very pleasant - great location.
