abra,
Kinsale has a lengthy list of fine accommodations, many of which are rather pricey. The Moorings, nicely situated in Scilly directly on the harbor, is a good bet. Most rooms come with a small balcony, and breakfast is held in a sunny and most appealing room that overlooks the nautical comings and goings of Kinsale harbor. Given the competition in the area, The Moorings is moderately priced.

Hi
In the Bunratty/Shannon area I would recommend Eileen Wolfe's B & B. Large rooms with baths ensuite and your rooms are not right within the family quarters. We could have overstayed our time at Wolfe's as they were so nice to us. We did go back two years ago and they were delighted to have us and assisted us in finding oother great B&B's
We've stayed in many in Ireland but this is one that we would truly recommend.

We stayed at a wonderful B&B in Kinsale called "The Old Presbytery", on a hill, very close to town, WITH a parking area. It's a tight little street, but is lovely , hospitable, and has a great breakfast.
About 4 miles from Bunratty is a nice Best Western , the TWO Mile Inn...which we used for the first night after arriving and needing a good rest. The rooms are American, two big beds, but a nice place to "organize" luggage for the LAST night before flying home. We stay in a lot of B&B's ,but occasionally like the hotel situation with larger rooms, no stairs to climb. There was a nice buffet breakfast, (I think?) This is right on a main road, but the central and back rooms are VERY quiet.
