Joelle...I have no idea. I got there at 8:50 on a Friday morning. Thought it opened at 9 so I figured I'd wait 10 minutes. However, they "let" me in (later found out they opened at 8).

Looking for crowds to follow, I meandered in the direction the gentleman who took my ticket told me to go. I was so surprised to come into an empty room with David at the end of it, that for a second I thought he must me an imitation and the real one had to be in another room. But it was true...minus one security guard, I was the only person in the room, and would continue to be for the next 15 minutes.

Hearing my rubber soles echo loudly throughout the room as I squeaked my forward to David is something I'll never forget. I understand you're not supposed to take pictures (I wasn't aware of that) but the guard didn't seem to care what I was doing. When the next visitor came in, I asked her to take a picture of what I thought was a unique experience, and that is the picture that is posted on the ofoto site.

The pictures are exquisite. Greece and Positano are my dream cities. I wish I had a copy of your pictures of them for inspiration. I hang pictures of places i want to go from my ledge at work. I just got back Sun from Santa Fe but haven't developed my pix yet. I was considering moving there and went for my second time to check things out but found out houses cost around $500,000. Back to the drawing board... Wish I could live in Positano or Santorini! I know you have some really fascinating stories - how about just a few tidbits.

Hi again...

Jim, there isn't one planned yet, not that I know about anyway. The last one was in March...maybe there will be one in summer, in which case I am sure it will be posted. It would be great to see more of your pictures...

Thanks Art!

Vicky, I have more stories than I know what to do with, but not a whole lot of them are fit to print here. ;-)

Princess, I did send the link to you directly.

Wonderful photos, Mina! You have a very good eye for composition. My favorites are Dubrovnik from above, Ljubljana at night (is the town as lovely overall as this photo suggests?), the bike & door in Pisa, and the Venice shot with the two masks in the foreground. Thanks for sharing, and glad you had a wonderful adventure.

Thanks Capo...I did have a really great adventure. Did I tell you I tried to go to your restaurant suggestion in Siena? Must have been good, because it was PACKED and they didn't have room for one. Oh well...guess I have to go back!

P.S. Oops...forgot to answer your question...

yes, Ljubljana is really lovely, especially at night. The reflection of the bridge is so serene when the water is perfectly still...it looks like it's over a mirror.

Hi Mina. I was wondering if you tried that restaurant. I forgot which one I recommended, though; was it Osteria Nonna Gina, or the restaurant at Locanda Garibaldi? The food was great at both places but the osteria was more colorful and lively. I'm guessing it must have been the osteria since it was very crowded both times we went there.

Still curious about Ljubljana from your photo...you really liked it?

Mina, your album is simply breathtaking! I enjoyed living vicariously through your lens -- some places I've been, others I hope to visit. Thank you for sharing.

It was the Locanda Garibaldi where I couldn't get in...the Nonna Gina I found on the fodors board as well, and ate there twice...actually maybe three times! The waitress was a lot of fun.

I wouldn't go all the way to Europe JUST to visit Ljubljana, but would certainly include it in an itinerary. Very hip, happening town. Pretty, but not breathtaking. both Ljubljana and Bled (nice hiking trails there) could be done in a week.

Thanks Sugar Plum. ;-)

Love the photos Mina. Good composition and lighting. One of my favorites is the shot of boats on shore below a house.
