Hi all...
Am back from a 4 month trip...it was wonderful, in part (and as always) due to the help on this board. Thank you.
No trip report, because it would be tough to do on such a trip, but the link to pictures is posted below. It's on ofoto.com, and if you don't have an account, it's easy to get one (no need to post your real email address, but it does have to be unique).
The pictures span Belgium, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, and Greece. For the few of you who were in contact with me while I was away, this album is nothing new...just excerpts of ones you've already seen.

It was a wonderful trip, and much too short, believe it or not. I appreciated all your support!

One question, Mina. What type of film or developing did you use to get the antique effect on some of the photos? Some are standard B&W and others have more of a brownish hue. I'd love to know your secret.

Thanks everyone. Now if I could only get off my butt and take them to the photoshop to get them printed and in an album!
Sorry about the resolution...I saved it to low res, but I guess they are still a bit big. They were monsters before!
RAR, my email is [email protected]. Feel free...you helped me a quite a bit while I was away.
Statia, the camera I used is a very old digital (well, about 3-4 years old...but in the tech world, it's a dinosaur!). An old casio I got for free, it does the job. It has some neat functions like filters, which allow me to choose black and white or sepia. Of course, with digital photos, you can do this in a program like photoshop, but I like have the filter in the original shoot. I use the filters when it's an ugly day and colors aren't so vibrant.
I personally am a big fan of digital cameras. These certainly won't turn out to be as vibrant and true as film, but with a regular camera, I tend to chop out heads and generally take awful pictures.

Mina's photos are wonderful. And don't you believe her when she says it is the camera that does the work. She has a great eye. Don't miss these. I am working on 400+ digitals from my April trip to Paris and am going home and switching some of them to black and white!!

The buildings in that sepia color are so beautiful! I was thrilled to find out that our camera has that option, now if only I can learn how to use it~
Mina, come to NYC on your next trip, show me how to take photos

Wow . . . what to say that hasn't already been said?? Simply lovely photos!
My digital camera (Elph S200) also has the sepia & B/W options and I had been thinking about playing around w/ those options when I go on my trip in Sept./Oct. I thought it might look cool. Now I KNOW it will!
Thanks for posting your pics. They're inspiring.

Mina, I felt like I was looking at National Geographic Traveler. Amazing talent you have. I also am inspired to try taking more heart felt pictures on my upcoming trip to Spain.
Thanks for sharing!

Mina:
Thanks for the tips. Now that you mention it, I remember playing around with my Paris photos using the various lens effects (like Sepia). It's just been awhile, so I forgot about it. It sure would be nice to have the option on my digital, though. Guess mine is more of a dinosaur than yours...ha.
