Killarney/Kenmare as a day-trip base
We're planning the details of a 19 day Ireland/Scotland trip in July 2017. I'm not ready yet for big-picture itinerary questions yet (those will come!) as I'm still working on some of the details. The question is this: Would Killarney or Kenmare be considered a good base for a, say, 3-night stay to see the Kerry area attractions. This would include a day trip to Dingle rather than staying there. The thinking is that we'd rather stay in one place longer as opposed to breaking it up into separate 2-night and 1-night stays. Or does Dingle really warrant it's own stay? If not, does Killarney or Kenmare make more sense? If the bigger picture helps with the question at all, we're thinking about a loop from Dublin to Kilkenny to Killarney/Kenmare/Dingle to Ennis or Galway and back to Dublin. Thanks in advance.

Kenmare serves as a base for south west Kerry / north west Cork, great if planning to visit Beara.
Killarney is a better base for the Ring/National park etc. More infrastructure for a 3 night stay.
Dingle can be done as part of a full days drive from Killarney to Limerick/Bunratty/Ennis/Kilkee/Lahinch. Tourists love to stay there, I can live without the town preferring the eastern end of the peninsula.
