kerouac - any cold weather pictures?

Hello, leaving for Paris on Sunday and just out of curiosity was wondering if you've taken any cold weather clothing pictures from your office window? The apartment landlord I'm renting from sent a brief email remarking on the cold temperatures but when looking at several weather forecasts it looks like temps will be warming up a bit, if you can believe the forecasts. I always enjoy your photos and was just hoping for some new ones.
Thanks,
Susan

I started a thread about November clothing a couple of weeks ago. It should be easy to find. I'll go and bump it to bring it from the depths.

Been there, done that and thoroughly enjoyed it. Just curious with such cold weather how everyone is faring. Not so concerned about what to wear but find it interesting to see how people bundle up for the weather. I guess I'm just really looking forward to my trip next week.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Thinking the same way Susan..I will be a week behind you for my trip to Paris. Think will just dress the way I do here in Philly..it is about the same minus the snow factor..yet.

People are dressed the same as in those other photos but with bigger scarves, more bonnets and definitely gloves.

We were just in Paris over the last weekend and had a great time. It is freezing so bundle up, and we just made stops for wine and spiced rum! Our pics:

We watched the 1 pm news on France 2 and saw some fascinating footage of the snow in Brittany and Normandy. Wow. You can see some of it here:

It was snowing abundantly at the beginning of the morning in Paris, but the snow had stopped by 9am. It might start up again at the end of the day, but not much is expected. Still quite cold, of course: -2° at 14:30.

Thanks everyone. Coming from Houston, TX this will truly be a shock to my system but I'll dress accordingly and will be fine. Looking forward to returning to Paris, even tho this is a solo trip - no way could I talk my husband into going in the Winter, but I love Paris anytime of the year. The countdown is on.

Just saw all your "photo essays"....St. Malo, Cancale, etc.....they were wonderful and since we had
just been there (for the 2nd time in 4 years)...special to see again & read your commentary.
I need to see more of St.Malo-"before & "after".....we forget how much destruction came to
Brittany & Normandy....what a remarkable re-build....for better or worse!

If ever you go to the Caen Memorial, there is an incredible film showing the cities of the area before and after the bombings. It is hard to imagine that people would even want to rebuild in such rubble and yet they always do.

Talking about snow does is stay long or is it the kind that it starts melting as the day progresses? We had it do the snow thing here in Philly on Turkey day but it did not stick or stay on the ground for long.
Either way I think the city looks even more beautiful with snow from some of the pictures I have seen.

We have more snow coming tonight (Thursday night) maybe, and it might stick around through the weekend, they say.
