Great pictures. I also liked the links to the shawl rings and different knots for scarves. Gotta save this!

Thanks CC for this--hope u will give us an update this spring, counting on a thaw soon. We will be going for a few weeks in May, although primarily in Provence--would love to know any trends. Many thanks.

Did you see the video at NYTdotcom where Eric Wilson was gushing over those "gypsy" coin dresses and separates at Joseph Altuzarra?

I thought they were interesting but very impractical for the working woman.

And I didn't like the Marc Jacobs collection with the "My Fair Lady" hats and shawls. The clothes were too exaggerated, too frumpy.

Blimey, who wants to look like the cook from "Downton Abbey" going out for her Sunday afternoon off to the county fair?

I am waiting with anticipation to see what Phoebe Philo does at Celine for Fall/Winter 2012.

Mimi, what is our old friend Carine up to these days?

Certainly Emanuelle doesn't get half of the publicity that Carine used to receive. You NEVER hear anything about her.

I wear all of the many scarves that I have purchased in Paris so I loved the tying techniques. I will try some new ones for sure. Merci!

pepper, Alt dresses one note her leggings and lether tights and sinple tops, tee shirt leather jackes, blazers and other style jackets while Carine goes edgy and sometimes, I think tasteless, but always exciting to see what she pulls off. She's now involved with Barney's and rumoers that she's starting a new magazine. The book asbout her, Irrevelent
is too expensive.

Mimi, as soon as a get a little time I will look at some of the collections at NYTdotcom and Hintmag.

I am not ignoring you; I am just very busy with work and I am getting my headaches and eye pains again.

Keith wants to go see The Descendants tonight, but I think I will be too dizzy by then.

What do you think of all the women wearing fur coats sans sleeves? Bill Cunningham talked about that last Sunday.

Your old, old friend,
Pepper

Cigalechanta -i just wanted to thank you again for posting the MaiTai link. I just ordered a scarf ring and am really excited about it! I'm 42 and have never worn a silk scarf in my life. But I'm going to Paris this summer and am going to do as French women do and dress up my outfits w/ scarves.
Merci!

You can find some beautiful scarves for two euros at those souvenir shops

Pepper I hope you are feeling better. Venice awaits you.
