Kenmare accommodations
Hello,
We're looking for a nice place to stay in Kenmare for a night in late August and wondering what places people have enjoyed in the past.
I've already checked out tripadvisor, but hoping to get other opinions on here. Hoping to find a hotel or B&B that costs under $150 (for 3) a night, if possible. I checked with Sherburne Lodge, but they're quoting us 210 euros.
Thanks!
Kelly

I think I have given you this information before but the Seashore Farm Guesthouse is great, in your price range and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms overlook a meadow and the river with the Beara mountains on the other side.

I second Joan's recommendation for The Lodge in Kenmare. It is one of the best guesthouses to stay in the area. Excellent accommodations, very clean, elegant, wonderful breakfast and 5 minutes walk to town. The ladies who run it couldn't be nicer. I have stayed there several times and was never disappointed. www.thelodgekenmare.com

Last May my wife and I and our adult daughter stayed at the Waters Edge B&B which is located one mile south of Kenmare overlooking the estuary. Lovely home, pretty setting, gracious host, fine breakfast, and a bargain price. We paid E75 for a triple (cash only). Telephone is 064/41707 or (mobile) 087-413-4235. E-mail address is [email protected].

Hi Kelly, just a note about the Lodge. We were there a few weeks ago and, had I known it was on the main road to town, would have requested a room at the back of the building. Not alot of traffic at night but I think it's always better to be away from the road side. We did enjoy our stay there though and loved Kenmare.
