We really enjoyed the Plage Les Pirates beach. Pay a small fee, but they have a nice beach with bar, bring your drinks to you -- the restaurant there is pretty good too, and they have showers afterwards.

From there, just head down the main drag along the beach -- lots of little shops and things to buy.

Juan-les-Pins ("John of the Pines") is the suburb of Antibes. It seems to be the place to skindive and/or water ski. Seeing that you will hve missed the big jazz festival in July, maybe that is a good thing...big crowds, etc.?
Since you will be so near to Antibes and if you are into museums, don't miss the Picasso Museum. For good top-notch food in JLP, try out the Hotel Juana at restaurant La Terrasse.

Dear Bruce;
you might want to consider 2 easy day trips 1) take the train to Monte Carlo; about 30-45 min. and 2) vist Saint Paul de Vance it's a really beautiful town in the hills take the train to Nice and then take a cab; about 15 minutes.For a real treat have lunch at the famous restaurant at La Colombe d' Or ;it has a fomous art collection reservations are a must tel33(0)93 32 80 02 request a table under the fig trees and have one of the best meals of your life about $100 for 2 including wine.
I do not know where you are staying; but I stayed at hotel des Mimosas for about $100 charming ;small; nice pool I was in room #18 on the 1st floor; it's about a 20 minute walk into town. Nothing glamorous; but it had a nice Great Gatsby vibe.
Viva La France
Sherri
