Jewish Tours in Berlin

We are going to Berlin in September and along with all of the regular sights we want some time and emphasis placed on the Jewish History. Can anyone give suggestions for tours or anything else helpful. We will be in Berlin for three days.

I'll only say what is probably already obvious. The Jewish Museum there is a masterpiece -- in architecture, in content, and in emotional effect.

Have you contacted the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC for any information?

Thannks for the information about contacting the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. I will do that. Do you think we can do the Jewish overview in one day and leave the others for general sightseeing?

I did a google searchfor Jewish Heritage tours because I remembered a company with that name. I think it was part of the Far and Wide Company that is now in bankrupcty. A tour company popped up called Milk and Honey Berlin that operates group or private tours in lots of languages including Hebrew.the web site is www.milkandhoneytours.com

If you google "jewish tours berlin" (all these words) you will get a lot of sites that seem to be what you want.

Berlin Walks offer a 'Jewish Life in Berlin' walk, a tour of the old Jewish quarter, ending outside the new Daniel Liebeskind-designed Holocaust Museum.

I hope you find Berlin as atmospheric and interesting as I did! The city has such a soul. I can't wait to go back!
