Jersey Shore In Florence! Pablum!

Warching the fist episode of Jersey Shore crew going to Florence, Italy (not Kentucky) for the new season.

And what complete pablum - first the gals land in Frankfurrt not knowing that at first they were not in Italy and that they then had to take a transfer flight but when they land in Milan they were dismayed to learn that it was not in Florence -and have to ride a bus to Florenceth! "How long it that" one dweeb asks.

One thing for sure the gals are talking about going out and getting laid by locals - IME that will be no problem!

Pablium, complete Pablum!

You really shouldn't admit to watching such drivel. I know it's hard NOT to look at a train wreck but you have to draw a line! LOL

Pablum? More like vomit! I've never watched the show, but since the entertainment media features their antics ad nauseum, you can't miss knowing who (or what) they are. As a native New Jerseyan, I find them an embarassment. Please world know they are not typical of the people in NJ. In fact, most don't even come from NJ.

I suspect several others on this forum also were driven to watch "Jersey Shore" in hopes of catching a look at some of wonderful sites in Florence. I'll admit to it ......

Yeah, I've heard about the cast of characters yet the ignorance was stunning. Lots of cringing moments.

These Joisey dweebs are so so self-absorbed - the only gal who can drive a stick shift has to drive a party of these low-lives thru Florence and the footage shows one of those Florence traffic cops - a nattily-dressed female coming up on a bike and saying "Redlight, redlight" and the group just blows her off and speeds off.

talk about the proverbial UGLY Americans!

Why would anyone watch this stuff? I was waiting in the dentist's office reading a trashy mag and saw the dwarflike woman - shooky or whatever her name is - was apparently arrested for assaulting a cop.

Too tedious for words.

snooky was shown giving her boyfriend a smooch good bye and then upon landing in florence admitted to some affair she is having with another cast member? Right? Wrong!!!

And the first place the group heads to in florence - an indoor workout gym to flex their tattooed muscles.

"cheers for Italy

I love Italy"

so chortles one Joisy Shore gal when provocatively daancing in the Otel Club disco

'this is better than DJ's in Belmar!"

Well at least this show shows that Florence is not a museum town but an active real place where young folks go to discos -Florence is actually a university town with lots of young Italian students and foreign students - Florence moves as much as any town - ain't all museums and old churches but a lively town for young folk.

Last night one gal at an outdoor fancy restaurant that appeared to be on or near the Pizza Michelangelo - the belvedere overlooking Barcelona said "I love Rome" - enough said about these total jerks and idiots. But at least it was a rare time when they actually got outside and saw something of florence!

I saw the first episode but not the second.

Do you know where they live? It seems they are on the other side of the Arno.

Well knowing that talking on fodor's about Jersey Shore is like playing Lady GaGa music or Justin Beiber's in an old folks home...

this week's episode got real steamy - the word 'lesbionic', which I had never ever heard again, being used over and over to describe the passionate kissing between two gals that was shown over and over and over.

And these louts rarely get outside it seems - they may as well be in Jersey City than Florence?

PQ,

You be hooked on this show.
Hearing them repeatedly refer to the Duomo as Vatican ..... makes me nuts ! And the teasers for the show, w/ people falling down drunk.

I'd much rather watch Lady G in her latest video or indulge in a bit of Bieber fever OMG, can you believe that street sign "Justin Bieber Way" got swiped ??? That cute little girl got to be mayor for a day in Forney ? and was allowed to rename a downtown street ...... Okay, I digress .......

this week two of the over testateroned guys got in a fight and one ended up in the ER - same ER I ended up in a few years ago - right in the center of town not far from the Duomo - and after coming back home with a mild concussion he lamented he could not for a while do any GTL - had to Google this - Gym, Tan and Laundry! Poor fella.

It's been the number one show on U.S. tv for adults over the past couple of weeks, highest ratings ever. So we can expect a number of knock-offs just like it. Cheap to make and big profits.

And the dumbing down continues.....

the jerk who ended up in hospital after smashing his own head into the wall comes back and says 'yeh I had a Cat Scan of his head and it showed nothing' - no truer words IMO!
