Isn't sitting in the airport on the return leg a downer?
(I had started reading your TR back when . . . then saw zeppole's >>I would like to suggest in friendly fashion << and just knew it wouldn't end well If it had been friendly it would have been the first time)
But coming back to the thread, it looks like you shooed her off w/ no bloodshed
What a wonderful trip/report . . .

Thank you the interesting report & the great pictures.
In a way I envy your continuing return to one locale. This is something that we can't seem to do - yet. We always need new places & the few times that we have returned to a city/town it just isn't special any more & we end up bored & restless. I guess the adventure of discovery is a big part of our travel expectations.

Funny, Paris and Le Marche are the only two we keep going back to.
It is always a balance, Scott likes to go back to places we enjoyed and I like to see new places so we try to do both

Sitting in the airport is the worst! Although the two hour tube ride home competes with that title!>>
don't. We had a three hour wait at Birmingham between our flights from Cornwall to B'ham and then B'ham to Hannover. Can you guess where the only place is in B'ham that you can't get a decent indian curry, not even for ready money? of course, it's the airport lounge. we didn't even discover the all 4 one [the best of a bad job] til we had to go to the gate to get on the plane. [try gates 1-20, folks]. only enough time for a drink on the way back so it wasn't so bad. but still no curry!

Alright then, I certainly understand family visits and the attendant disruptions to usual life, but this bottle of Shiraz simply cannot wait any longer. Would greatly appreciate a day or two notice before the next episode so I can make a run for a replacement. Even better, let's meet up at La Tavola to continue the tale...
