It's very boring here during the day (in Europe).

Winter finally arrived here in Maryland, USA. We had a very light snow out in Carroll County where Mrs. Fly and I live.
And now it is getting really cold--a week or so ago I was worried that I was going to have to get my lawn mower out of mothballs, fill it with oil and gas, put on my sun block and floppy straw hat, and chop the grass down.
But that danger seems to have passed now. Whew!
Cloudy and cold today--but no wind, so it's not bad.

Just a funny note - I've noticed the same thing, I've been working the overnight shift here in Massachusetts, from 10pm EST to 6am, and I use these boards to pass some of the slower times during my shift. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one posting!

Here in Israel, near Haifa, the sun is shining, the almond trees are in blossom and it's not hot but it's not cold. Its nice but we do need more rain and more winter. Try to appreciate youur winter.

Well, for me, it's a dull gret Saturday afternoon (and the sun was shining so nicely this morning) - and I'm at home thumb-twiddling because I was supposed to be working from home to test some new computer-y thing which isn't ready to test after all. So I'm sitting here replaying Radio 3's series of Sibelius concerts from the internet, waiting for some scones to warm up so I can lather them with butter to make up. And the beeper's going on my oven, so it's scone time!

>>The high today, under sunny skies, will be 63 degrees, according to the local newspaper.<<
Betsy, we must be in different SF Bay Areas. Looking out my window at grey drizzle backed by fog at 9:10 AM.

I am in Cairo now and the weather here was very nice today. The temperature was around 18 degrees Celsius and the sun showed its face during the afternoon. Nice change from the freezing weather I experienced in Paris (but I do like Paris better...).

Well, here in Dallas we've had one of those extremely rare things -- a perfect Texas day. Sun was bright and it was about 70 degrees. We've had unusually cold weather lately -- even some snow, but not today.

Well, here it has just gone 2.30pm in Auckland, New Zealand. It's hot and humid and very sticky. I'm at work and wishing with all my might that it was two weeks ago and I was still in Scotland...... constantly dreaming.

This morning I woke up to a few inches of snow. I couldn't get through the city - Belgians mostly don't have winter tyres - so everything was at a standstill. Had to park the car - get the bus - then trudge over a mile in my snow boots - I think I'm quite dedicated!

Hi lawchick, for some reason I cannot sleep so here I am wide awake in Northern California at almost 3:00am.
We had a sprinkle of rain yesterday but it was not cold. I just went outside a moment ago and it is quite pleasant for the middle of the night and it looks like there was a light shower a few hours ago. We have not had the rain storms that we normally have this winter, no rain at all actually. Very strange.
I would rather be bored in Europe than here!!

Hi lawchick, hope its not to cold in Belgium. I'll be their on the 17th for a day tour from Amsterdam. Right now it's 3 degrees Fahrenheit in northeastern Pennsylvania. It has been well below freezing for a week now. So anything warmer will be a relieve.

Jane, it's beautiful right now at my home in Belgium, everything covered with snow. It won't last though, and temperatures are rising again tomorrow. School holidays start the 17th, for a week. And it the southern part of The Netherlands (provinces Brabant and Limburg) it's Carnival that weekend (until the Tuesday), in case you feel like partying!
