Hey everyone, be sure to keep an eye on the web cam in Paris for the fireworks. It's a bit early now but the show will start in a few hours.

Well, in our village we celebrate on the 13th, and so we had our grillades, (barbecued sausage, mergues, crepes, rose in the square last night.
Fireworks over the ruins of the chateau, as normal, but the most amazing thing was the 'fire breather act' Don't know how to explain it other than that, and I hate to think what the fellow had in his mouth, but something that caught fire as he breathed out. Then lots of acrobatics with fire sticks - think baton twirling with fire at each end. Quite spectacular.
Just when I think I'm used to living in France, something like this happens, and I see myself at the foot of the 12th century chateau watching fire breathers and have to ask myself - how did this happen????? Just lucky I guess.

Hi
Well, my village had fireworks last night. Today & tonight is reserved for eating and dancing to live music.
I was in Sommieres this morning, and heard the cannon (heralding bulls running through the streets) several times.
Now, I have the window open. It is just dark. I can here the fireworks in surrounding villages.
Much later than usual, the summer has arrived. Blue skies, the buzz of insects, and a pool approaching 30C.
I used to live in Sweden.
Why ?
