Michel_Paris, I have no idea, but it looks like there are some videos on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-es3oVxu7E

ggreen, thank you so much for all these suggestions and offering to help personalize the trip for me!! in answer to your questions:

--I love the ancient history/art in the Louvre, especially ancient Near Eastern history (Egypt, Mesopotamia)
--views of the city = yes!
--shopping: cheap, girly clothing/antique shops - especially old books/quirky markets, etc
--music: I like acoustic singer-songwriter type of music, I love that feeling of finding really great musicians playing on the street!

questions:

--are there any good vegetarian places to eat? I'm sure I'll have no problem finding delicious food for breakfast, but what about lunch & dinner?
--do you have any specific apartment or b&b recommendations that would be around $100/night?
--are there any good places to go to listen to free live music? also what operas and musicals are playing in Paris in December?

am now leaning toward taking Luxembourg out of the trip plans, but I had chosen it because I wanted to go somewhere small (=calm) and I heard that it's very pretty.. =)

If you put "Paris vegetarian" in the search box here, some good ideas pop out.

If you do a search here for 'Right Bank Hotels' and 'Left Bank Hotels', you will get a wealth of ideas. $100 is not a lot for a room though. If you changed your sched around to group more days in Paris (like not staying overnite at DL), you might consider an appartment.

I went to Reims and it was a nice day trip. Cathedral is a good one to visit. We walked from train station to Cathedral to wine cellar tour (Taitinger). There is a large wine store across from Cathedral.

There have been quite a few threads here on other day trips...Chartres, St Germain en Laye, Provins, etc.. If budget is less of an issue, there is a nice place often recommend here as an overnight in Reims, but $$$

I might also take Lux out of the mix. To me , a relaxing trip has less moving about.

Markets...lots of those. The largest is probably Clignancourt, in the outer district of Paris.

Thank you for all the input, I'll look up everything you noted!

Michel_Paris, what was the nice place in Reims that you would recommend?

Right now we're probably going to do:

Dec 25-30: Paris
Dec 30-31: Reims
Dec 31-Jan 1: Disney
Jan 1-5: Brussels

Thank you for the replies everyone! This is going to be great help for my trip.

Michel_Paris - that place looks fantastic - I ALMOST decided to splurge for it.. but in the end we're actually going to cut out the night trip and just stay in Paris for 5 nights, Disneyland 1, and Brussels 4
