Itinerary help please! Dolomites 1 week hut to hut guided tours

We are looking at 2 different guided hut to hut trips for early September in the Dolomites. Both are similar cost wise and length (1 week) but are in different areas of the dolomites. Below are both itineraries, we were hoping for some feedback on which one would be most recommended by anyone who is familiar with these areas. Main priority is the best scenery.

Itinerary 1 (Best of Alta Via 1 and 2)

1. Badia to Sante Croce mountain through Passo S. Antonio

2. Fanes to Lagazuoi through Forcella dal Lago

3. Lagazuoi to Pralongia

4. Pralongia to Passo Gardena

5. Gardena to Rifugio Ghernacia through Puez Natural Park

6. Rifugio Ghernacia back to Badia

Itinerary 2

1. Cortina D'Ampezzo to Tofano Group of Peaks

2. Val Travenanzes to Fanes Hutte

3. Fanes to Durrenstein Hutte

4. Ascend to Durrentstien Hutte

5. Walk to Tre Cime

6. Circuit walk of Tre Cime

7. Descend to Lake Misurina and transfer to Cortina

Also open to suggestions about any other areas. Basically we want to make the most of our 1 week of trekking.

Thanks for the help!

I am beginning to organize a similar trip for fall 2014. I have been narrowing my route by reviewing you tube postings and searching trip reports using google. These have provided pictures which have influenced my thinking. Good luck and have a fabulous trip.

The Dolomites are gorgeous and I'm sure you won't be disappointed with either one. I have only been in a small portion of Itinerary #2 and have skied and hiked in most of Itinerary #1.
Julie's suggestion to start googling may help sway you one way or the other.
Have fun.

Hi Canaus

I am looking at planning a one week trip to the dolomites in August. Just bought the book "walking in the dolomites" which I hope will help with my planning.

Have you had anymore advice on your itinerary?
