Itinerary help-25th anniversary-October in Italy-
I want to celebrate my 25th anniversary in early October 05 in Italy. I would like to go to Venice but I would also like to see Pompeii. I enjoy cities and ancient buildings but I would also like some time to experience the Italian culture in the country. I love water, fishing villages and coastal areas. We will have between 14-18 days and would be comfortable driving or taking trains. I would really appreciate any sample itineraries the wonderful fodors experts could provide.

I have a 20+ page itinerary I've sent to hundreds of people on various travel boards. E-mail me at [email protected] if you want a copy.

Here is a start. I like the BELLA ITALIA for what you descibe. It is hard to mix north and south on the same trip. Save Rome and the Amalfi coast for you next trip--you will return.

The name comes from the love of my life (not counting my husband), which is a 1987 series 3 Jaguar XJ6 named Blue. The vanity plates read "GGRRRR" and I am forced to admit that I am a little obsessed with it (something many fodorites may understand). I have a leopard print purse with a jaguar on it, a gold jaguar ring on my right hand, and so on...I did stop short however, of the jaguar tattoo on my posterior.
