Itinerary

I'm planning a trip with 2 friends this summer to Italy. We're planning on flying from London to Venice for 1 night, then to Cinque Terre for 2 nights, Florence & Siena for 4 nights and Rome for 2 nights..Any good restaurants and especially any hotels in these cities? I've been to Rome but the other friends have not been..any suggestions??

Hi io,

I would reduce the CT to no more than one night and add the time to Venice.

Enjoy your visit.

I'd re-post w/ a MUCH more informative title. "Itinerary" could be asking anything about anywhere in Europe. You will get some answers - but if you want a lot of help put Italy and/or CT, Florence, Rome, etc in the title . . . . . .

I agree with Ira. You are moving too fast to enjoy any of your stops. I would go a step further. I would eliminate one stop entirely to give yourselves time to actually spend in the other places. I think it would be easiest to eliminate Rome since you have been there but if you are flying out of Rome, I suggest skipping Cinque Terre this time - add the two days to Venice.

I would skip the CT and spend three nights each in Venice, Florence and Rome.

Only 9 nites translates to 3 destinations---not 4. It takes most of a day just to travel to the CT from venice. Drop something.

This might surprise you, but you may be able to stay within your budget and get to see more with a small organized trip with tour guide. Have you thought of this alternative?

I would cut at least 1 if not 2 places mentioned. Or you'll be spending an awful lot of time riding around on the trains. Personally I would do only Venice and either Florence or Rome in that short time frame.

Do you realize you last two posters are responding to a four month old post that was topped this morning by that "idiot"?
Meanwhile I see the original poster is no longer registered here, so answering those questions seems like a waste of everyone's time.
