Italy Trip Photos

I've posted photos of my recent trip to Italy on Pbase:

One week of the trip was spent in Sicily on a tour with Explore and I highly recommend it.

Great Pics! The mosaics on the Capella Palatina in Palermo blew my mind! I have only seen something similar in St. Petersburg- the Church of the Spilled Blood. The pictures of the cloisters at Monreale are also very interesting. Sicily is tugging stronger and stronger at me!!! Thanks for posting!

What do you think of Cefalu? What month did you go? How was the weather? Did you drive? More please!!!

Thanks for your comments. Those churches are indeed mind-blowing. I liked Cefalu a lot and wish I could have spent the night. It is touristy, but worthwhile anyway. That was true of a lot of places. I really loved Erice and wanted more time there. I was on a bus tour and we were on the go a lot. The tour is normally ten days but ours was abbreviated to eight and was a littled rushed. With ten days, I think you get more time in each place.

I planned to go to a language school in Cefalu last fall, but changed my mind. I wondered if I would be bored in Cefalu after a few days. There are some apartments and hotels on their webpage.

It seems pretty small to me, but I wasn't there long enough to get a sense of what there is to do.
