Italy tour and ___(?) in November

Italy tour and ___(?) in November
As I have no trip to plan this year I've become assistant to friends who are planning. Charlotte is going to take a 10-day tour of Italy in November with a friend. Following the tour, they will stay with a relative of Charlotte's friend in Rome (lucky ladies!) This is Charlotte's first trip to Europe.
They are thinking about adding Greece to this trip. I suggested they consider Greece only if on the front end as the islands are shut down in late November. Do you think this is sound advice?
If they decide to add another destination on the end, where should I suggest they go? Paris might be a good stopping point on the way back home, or perhaps the south of France. What is Croatia like in late November? I'm sure they do not want to be in a cold climate.
Personally, I could spend weeks and weeks in just Italy, but as a first time to Europe, I think another country for a sample of a place other than Italy would be a good idea.
The ladies are in their 50's and can handle only moderate physical activities. I think they would enjoy some museums and taking in local color. Of course, in Italy food will be a big win.
Would welcome suggestions. Thanks.

They will visit Venice, Pisa, Florence, Sorrento, and Rome.
Any thoughts on other places to visit? Since this is Charlotte's first time to Europe, I thought maybe a stop in Paris would be worthwhile so she could see somewhere other than Italy.

I'll let Greece fans comment on Greece.
Personally, with their 10-day whirlwind "tour" of five cities (with additional time in Rome), I'd add some quieter time in the countryside. Tuscany or Umbria or a little of both in a rented car. Of course, if it's getting on to December by the time this part of the trip begins, Paris and its cafes and museums might sound more appealing.

i think that your quesion answers itself really. - they already have 4 places in 10 days, followed by a stay in rome with friends.
unless they've got some extra time as yet unaccounted for, Venice, Pisa, florence and Sorrento, followed by Riome will leave them sated.
IF they have more time, I'd suggest sicily that time of year - there are some reccent trip reports singing its praises and it would be very suitable for ladies of that [ie MY] age!

Thank you all. I've learned that adding time on the front end is not possible, so Greece is out.
We've narrowed down the options to Paris, Tuscany/Umbria, and Sicily (good addition) following Rome.
I wish I could go with them.
