I_am_kane,
Yes, we will be there! We leave Rome on the 8th so it seems we may run into eachother on the 7th. We'll make a plan to say hello to eachother at some point.
I hope you have a wonderful trip - I know you have many people with you. In the past, we have taken our mothers, my sister and our son, but this time it is just my husband and myelf and son and his girlfriend.

Marianna,
Since this is a (relatively) small hotel, we shouldn't have any problem meeting each other. Obviously, my last name is Kane. I will be l'americana with the short red hair!
Thanks for your good wishes, and the same to you an your family.

Oh my gosh. Except for Cinque Teree, I recognized all the places because that was our trip last year (and in June!) Can some techie tell me how to save and forward this slide show to potential Italophiles? And how to keep it for myself? What gorgeous photos!!!!!

Azure, I couldn't get the pictures yesterday when I posted here but today I got them. Amazingly beautiful! I saw so many familiar places which we have visited on other trips to Italy. I sent the link to my husband, son and his girlfriend for them to enjoy also. Thanks for these fabulous pictures. Makes me want to be there subito.
I_am_kane, I have light brownish hair and blue eyes. Name is Annette. I am American also - grandparents and my mom were all born in Italy. I will look for you on the 7th of July and leave a note for you at front desk with other info. I am looking forward to meeting you.

Thanks again for the nice comments
travelinfamily: My trip was three weeks long. I spent four nights in Rome, two in Sorrento, four in Siena, three in Florence, three in Monterosso, three in Camogli and the last night in Milano before flying back to the U.S.
In retrospect, I wish I had spent more time on the Amalfi Coast. Less in Siena (even though I used it as a base to visit southern Tuscany), it would have been nice to split the time with another Tuscan town. I can never get enough of Rome, I could have spent a whole week there. I'll just have to go back and explore some more ;-)
