ITALY INFORMATION
PLEASE HELP MY HUSBAND AND I ARE GOING TO BE
IN FRANCE FOR THREE WEEKS IN SEPTEMBER AND
HAVE DECIDED TO LENGTHEN OUR VISIT BY ONE
WEEK TO TAKE THE TRAIN OR AIR TO ITALY FROM
PARIS. tHIS IS A VERY IMPROMPT TRIP AND WE
KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT ITALY. CAN SOME OF
YOU WONDERFUL EXPERIENCED TRAVELERS HELP US
OUT. IT IS NECESSARY TO TRAVEL FROM PARIS
TO ITALY BECAUSE OF FLIGHT CONNECTIONS. WE
ARE ALSO CONSIDERING A SIDE TRIP TO AMSTERDAM. WE WILL HAVE ABOUT SEVEN DAYS.
WE COULD ALSO FLY BACK TO THE STATES FROM
AMSTERDAM RATHER THAN PARIS.
THANKS SO MUCH.

Sorry for the confusing request. We
are flying to paris round trip from
the states and on to Nice for a few
days before visiting friends in the'Loire Valley for a week and back
to Paris for Friday, Sat. & sun and
orginally scheduled to fly back to the
states on Monday, but have decided to]
stay another week and would like to
see both Italy and Amsterdam. Need to
know if possible to see some of Italy
and then Amsterdam to either fly from
Amsterdam to states or back to Paris
and then to the states. I really
appreciate your help.'''
Thanks

Sorry, I promise never to do that again...
Anyway, try to do your research at trip.com...there are many options you can consider as to transportation, sightseeing etc.
http://www.trip.com/
Hello - I'd say skip Amsterdam this trip. Italy is worthy of your 7 days. Or, since airfare in/out of Amsterdam is often cheaper and if cost is a consideration, perhaps you could skip Italy and concentrate on the Benelux area -also worthy of 7 days. I wouldn't waste the time getting all the way from France down to Italy back up to Amsterdam or possibly Paris again.

Take an overnight train from Paris to Venice, and then travel south to Rome,
visiting Florence and San-Marino on the
way, and you will never forget this trip. You may stay in Rimini if you like beaches on the way south from Venice. In fact that's what we did two years ago, and it was great. And then you can fly home from Rome...
