I just saw the news this morning about the earthquake in Italy. My thoughts are with our Italian posters and any of our Fodors travelers who might be in or near that area of the country.

From Los Angeles to Italy.. we feel for you acutely!!!!! I am sending good thoughts for everyone effected.

Faina: Thank you for the web site. I hadn't heard about this earthquake. I was only aware of the earthquakes that precipitated the eruption of Etna. <BR><BR>There is no way to express my feelings for the people suffering there. Those of us who live in California have great understanding and empathy for those experiencing such a terrible tragedy.

My thoughts and prayers are with those of you in the area of the earthquake in Italy. I am going to try to contact my family near Naples to see how things are there.

This is really sad. I understand several children were killed in a school that collapsed. My heart goes out to those families.
