Hello All,
I will be in Venice for a day trip and arriving at 5:30am. Any resturant open for breakfast at this time? Is anything open? Tour starts at 11:00am so some time to kill.
Any quick lunch locations? No real time to dine slowly.
Also see that someone said that the vaporetto's don't start running until 7am, I went the the website and it stated 4:30am...comments?
Florence:
Will be in florence at 8:30am, any resturant suggestion for breakfast? as well as a quick lunch spots? Day tours so not much time to dine.
Thanks in advance,
Neo

Neo, "breakfast" in Italy generally consists of a cornetto and cappucino, except at hotels. You will see many places open and the locals drinking their coffee and enjoying a cornetto while standing at the counter.

Thanks so much. Am leaving in 2 weeks and just made reservation to Borghese Gallery, Pisa and have a long list of churches to see in Rome through one of your threads. Also, thanks for the recommendations in Cinque Terre.

Neotraveler6: if you're still out there, the vaporettos were running before 7:00 but only certain routes and, obviously, not as frequently as they do in the middle of the day. If I remember correctly, when coming out of the train station, the vaporetto stop to the right of the station was running but the one to the left didn't open until 7:00. The schedule may change with the season too.
